For almost twenty years I've worked within animation within a variety of roles; including art direction, production, storyboarding, animation, design and layout for children's TV and adverts to inventing game concepts and environments for online entertainment. My clients include BBC1, Cbeebies, CITV, Channel 4, S4C, Nickelodeon, Picasso Pictures, Scholastic, Macmillian, DDB, Milo Creative, National Carriage Museum in Porto and AGM Presents. Several of the animation projects I have worked on have either been nominated or won BAFTA'S.
I've taught animation and puppet making at several London universities, written and invidulating academic courses. Exhibited my own personal creative animation work In New York at the Too Art for TV gallery and in London. For the past five years I have been a jury member for the Royal Television Awards
My specialisation is within 2D animation, often the end result looks hand drawn but is actually done on a computer. For many productions I have worked within dual roles of designer and animator, producing concept art, style bibles, storyboarding background layout and character libraries for the pre production stage of series development.
My first love is stopmotion and for several years I worked as model maker and assistant animator for several children's series. During the Summer holidays I always used to have a host of work experience students shadowing me, which led to me being hired to teach students how to make their own puppets and devise their own short stopmotion films for several Universities and Colleges of Further Education.
